Cost of Attendance

Cost of Attendance

The cost of attendance for a student is an estimate of that student’s educational expenses for the period of enrollment. The cost of attendance budget is determined by reviewing each year the cost of living in the community by a student based on needs, and not wants in the following components: 1) Tuition 2) Books and Supplies 3) Room and Board 4) Transportation 5) Personal/Miscellaneous. For out-of-state students, we add non-resident fees to the components. Also, we have added a component for child care for those students who have dependent children. Documentation is required. Please visit the Office of Financial Aid.

The cost of attending Southern University Law Center (SULC) varies, depending upon a student’s enrollment. Below are estimated costs for full-time and part-time law students for the 2017-18 academic year. All awards must not exceed the cost of attendance budget.

Note: SULC adopts the Louisiana Association of Financial Aid Administrators averages and estimated cost for students in the State of Louisiana.
