Leaning the law and honing your analytical skills in the classroom is one thing. Putting those elements to use is just as important. SULC gives students access to a broad array of clinics and externship opportunities to put your knowledge and analytical skill-set to real-world use and develop “practice-ready” lawyers. In fact, SULC was one of the first law schools to pioneer legal clinics. Pro bono legal clinics enable students to gain extensive hands-on experience while helping to fill the gap in otherwise unmet legal and social needs within our community and region.
SULC has nine clinics serving various areas of the law (e.g. criminal, civil, tax, family, administrative, etc.) for the metropolitan area, and beyond. So, take advantage of SULC’s Clinical Education program and put your classroom learning to work, get real world lawyering experience, and in the bargain, help those in need.
